Hannah montana the movie miley cyrus news

Cheer up, Miley Cyrus fans! Turns out that the initial info we got from Disney about her being ineligible to win an Oscar wasn't quite right. The studio submitted six songs from the film version of "Hannah Montana" for Oscar consideration. One of them is "Don't Walk Away" — Miley shares writing credit with John Shanks and Hillary Lindsey. That means she's an official Oscar candidate "pending validation of a final list from the Music Branch," adds the studio rep.

Also submitted from "Hannah Montana":

"Butterfly Fly Away," written by Glen Ballard and Alan Silvestri, performed by Miley Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus

"You’ll Always Find Your Way Back Home," written by Taylor Swift and Martin Johnson, performed by Miley Cyrus

"Back To Tennessee," written by Billy Ray Cyrus, Tamara Dunn and Matthew Wilder,
performed by Billy Ray Cyrus

"Hoedown Throwdown," written by Adam Anders and Nikki Hassman, performed by Miley Cyrus

"Everything I Want," written and performed by Steve Rushton
