Razzies for Rob Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Megan Fox?

January 3, 2010 |  7:34 am

Naughty Derbyites are already serving up Razzie speculation here in our forums even though noms aren't unveiled until Feb. 1 (one day before Oscar bids, of course). BC insists that "Twilight: New Moon" "needs to be nominated because it is overrated and I can finally say Golden Raspberry Award nominee Robert Pattinson." Adds our poster named kelemenmarc, "And I hope I can finally say Taylor Lautner too, a Golden Raspberry Award nominee."

Beware, "Twilight" haters: The first installment wasn't nominated for a single Razzie in 2008. Oh, cruel Hollywood!

Twilight Saga New Moon Taylor Lautner Kristen Stewart news

Our posters believe the contest for worst actress is a diva smack-down between Megan Fox ("Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" and "Jennifer's Body"), Beyoncé Knowles ("Obsessed"), likely Oscar nominee Sandra Bullock ("All About Steve"), Miley Cyrus ("Hannah Montana: The Movie"), recent Emmy winner Katherine Heigl ("The Ugly Truth"), Kristen Stewart ("Twilight Saga: New Moon") and Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson ("Bride Wars").

In addition to Rob Pattinson, the slugfest to snag the trophy as worst actor involves these chaps: Will Ferrell ("Land of the Lost"), Michael Cera and Jack Black ("Year One"), Oscar co-host Steve Martin ("The Pink Panther 2"),  Gerard Butler ("Gamer," "Law Abiding Citizen," "The Ugly Truth"), Shia LaBeouf ("Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen").

LonePirate asks a curious question: "I wonder if 'Nine' is going to sneak in the (worst) picture category given its withering reviews and lackluster performance. Failed Oscar bait with a big name cast that bombs at the box office is usually prime Razzie fodder."

whoever said twlight is a bad flim sucks, i would have went to see it even if all those hat guys wasnt in it,i think the whole story is awesome

I hated New Moon, and I love the books. I actually liked Twilight better. I felt they betrayed the essence of the saga, which is Edward and Bella's relationship and tried to pimp Taylor Lautner until I was nauseous. Bella doesn't even acknowledge she MIGHT have romantic feelings for Jacob until Eclipse, so the kiss in New Moon is just one more example of Summit trying to hype a love-triangle that hasn't formed yet. So that's shoddy, dishonest filmmaking at it's finest. With that said, Rob did a fine job in portraying Edward the way he interprets him, which is more serious than in the books but that is also due to the script. Speaking of screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg is inept. Summit needs to get rid of her. She may be good at Dexter but adapting an epic love story from the page is quite another. As for Kristen Stewart, there are PLENTY of movie critics and fans who agree she carried this movie and improved over her Twilight performance. So people who hate her need to get over themselves and ask why they like hating her so much, because it's blatantly obvious.

Please people...help Chris Klein get nominated for his "Supporting Actor" performance in the shameful "Street Fighter: the Legend of Chun Li"!

Ok I totally agree with whoever said that Kristen Stewart is a bad actress..!!! I don't even know why they casted her in the first place..!!! If you've watched Land Of Women you'll know what I mean. The only reason that people watch(ed) Twilight and New Moon is/was because of Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattison. I thought that Leighton Meester would have been a good Bella. She's what you call an actress with talent..!!

Sandra Bullock should win the razzie. She is so old now and still trying to play an 18 year old. It is time to put her out to pasture. The Blind Side is not Oscar material either. Besides Sandra Bullock is a total Bitch. I was in San Antonio while she was making "Miss Congeniality" and we were the only family there to see her and get an autograph. We waited 5 hours for her to come out and meet our small family of 4 and she would hide from us. She obviously does not care about her fans and she fools us all into thinking she is a nice pperson but she is not. There is a reason God did not let her have children. She is mean as hell especially to liitle kids.

Second: Krtistin Stewart is a horrible one note actress. Especially in "New Moon" when she as Edward for a birthday kiss. She raises her eye brow and shakes her head back and forth, I was expecting her to say"Kiss me you fool" like they did back in the 20's. Bad< Bad Acting!

The booked sucked so there really wasn't anyway to salvage a movie fromit

The Razzies would lose all credibility, even as an anti-Oscars, if they were to nominate "New Moon". (And as a middle-aged male, I'm nowhere near the "Twilight" franchise's target market.) If they do that, Halle Berry should return her Razzie--and that was one of their best moments when Halle not only accepted her Razzie, but brought her Oscar along too.

The Twilight fans urgently needed a good lesson in humility, realism, dramatic art to distinguish what is not, of not being as aggressive, namely assuming what is obvious (New Moon is terrible), to respect the opinion of others .....

I thought that New Moon was a good movie. I only went to see it because of Pattinson, I read all four books AFTER seeing the first movie when it came out on dvd. I thought his acting was good, and he deserves more credit.
Stewart on the other hand was not good at all. I thought her acting was too jumpy and nervous; it got on my nerves.
Land of the Lost deserves the award. I fell asleep on it and I'm a devoted movie-watcher. I never fall asleep on movies that I have paid for until now!
I also thought Transformers was too stereotypical. I felt embarrassed as I sat and watched it.

Hannah Montana MASAKRA!!!!! Bad Bad Bad Bad !!!!
Za granicą się w ogóle nie znają na filmach, nawet nie zrozumieją tego co pisze i to jest dobre :p

The cast of Twlight Saga, urgently needs a good academy of dramatic art and acting in stage to learn how to be actors. They do not act, they pose as models. All those awards that they have won are the many polls that are online and that are voted hundreds of times by the same fans.

To be honest, in the small roles Rob found himself – well he just didn’t sparkle. It truly looked as though he had completely lost interest in everything Twilight. His presence on screen has dissipated 90% compared to Twilight. When he said he barely put in effort for New Moon – well it definitely showed.
Yeah he should be awarded one – his lazy acting for one thing at least. (And he no longer sparkles.)

Wow Robert Pattinson ? Are you kidding me? He was one of the best actors last year. New Moon is voted the best movie of 09 by many sites. Although Taylor Lautner needs improvement in acting department and needs to show some skills instead of just his physique. But new Moon was way too good of a movie to be even listed here. And Megan Fox is undisputed winner of this award.

That is such a biased opinion. Robert Pattinson should not even be considered to be nominated in these. He is an amazing actor. The posters are clearly prejudiced. They would have done the same with Twilight last year had they known it would get so big. The movie attracts a certain amount of teen audience does not mean it shouldn't be given a chance. Robert Pattinson is the life of the twilight. His portrayal of Edward is spot on which was considered a hard job by many. Nothing from twilight should be nominated even though Taylor Lautner was little weak but there are way worse actors out there. New Moon was one of the best movies of last year as said by many critics. The jealousy is quite clear here.

Rob Pattinson is the reason I watch twilight movies. He is perfect as edward. Its not easy to portray this character of such complexities. New Moon was not as good as Twilight because he didn't have much of a role in it. He should be getting the best actor award on the contrary. These posters seem more frustrated by his success and are desperate to put him down.

Bride Wars was absolutedly the worst movie I saw all year. Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway were both abysmal. Both of them deserve Razzie nominations. Kate Hudson and Penelope Cruz were also both bad in Nine. The movie was a huge disappointment. I don't know how it's even up for Golden Globes. Sandra Bullock was awful in All About Steve, and it was one of the worst movies I saw all year. But I agree some people are just being nominated because they had higher profile movies. Twilight wasn't that bad, and I knew what to expect going in. The only one that showed be nominated is Taylor Lautner and Kristin Stewart. Also where is Miss March and that Hayden Panietierre movie.

New moon was AMAZING!
And i will vote for every single award that it is in...(accept worst movie because it clearly wasnt!)

And i will definaly vote for kristen rob and taylor (aslong as he isnt in the same catagory as rob!)

x 175 days until eclipse!

So Bullock could be nominated for a Razzie for All About Steve AND an Oscar for The Blindside. Can she win both? I don't think Fox was bad. The second Transformers film just sucked.

By the way Tom what is your email ID?

thought the acting on new moon was poor and the ending was terrible.

seriously, this award is the only thing i would love to see robert pattinson win
he was good in twilight but awful in new moon. oh please girl you know he can't act. he is gorgeous but a joke as an actor. kstew too was very bad but she did a lot of good movies. so she deserves more credits.

oh please not taylor , he was the only good thing in new crap( dakota too)

But what about Justin Timberlake? He had this movie Open Road. It was in a few theaters. He missed out nomination on the Edison. He deserved it so much. Now they can't skip him on that one. And his massive ego deserves a nomination :)

And please, please – nominate Pattinson. He deserves it so much. It’s clearly from that trailer for Remember me that he did not spent any time on his acting skills. The same boring Edward. Only with tan. And we forgot about that Ashes movie. Where he had moustashe. He looked so ridiculous. He should be a double nominee. Lead for Ashes and Supporting for New moon.

This is ridiculous. Rob Pattinson is one of the most sought after actors. He is the life of twilight. He is actually one of the best actors. Just stop using his name to get headlines and hits for your site because I can see it is working.

2012 is not just a bad movie, but it was the worst movie this year that made me laugh the most because of how bad it was. As such, it should be nominated for all kinds of Razzies.

How many of you who are criticizing a specific film or the performances have actually seen it and aren't just following suit? How many of you who voted for New Moon on the list provided actually have seen it? Based on some of your statements, I can't imagine many of you would have even considered it. If you have, I don't believe you can honestly say it was worse than Transformers, Year One, Land Of the Lost, or Old Dogs (all of which I have seen). I can't comment with regard to the others, because I have not seen them. I am not saying it was a great film (it was OK), but it and the performances were much, much better than what was offered in the others I mentioned.
