One True Thing and she should have been nominated for The Hours and and The River Wild.

Yeah, of course a good Streep-Fan recognize all her Oscar-Nominations easily.
One True Thing was really heartbroken. I've cried so much at the end.

Why the hell didn't she get the Oscar for A Cry in the Dark, Bridges of Madison Country or Adaptation?
When will this nomination-circus finally end? >_>

Big deal. That trivia was already posted last year. Recycled much?

She was nominated for One True Thing, one of her more brilliant performances and it broke my heart. I will never look at it again--maybe.

That being said, I enjoyed the other three movies, especially The River Wild. I love that movie and especially the song to end it--beautiful! I must have looked at it a million times...

She should have been nominated for The Hours (2002) and The River Wild (1994).
As for Manhattan (1979), she did not get nod for that because in the same year she was nominated for her wonderful performance in Kramer vs. Kramer which finally won her first Oscar.
