NBC Universal Studio stages Emmy campaign in the round
The recent trend in Emmy campaigning has been toward sending spare, conservative DVD boxes to TV academy members. But that doesn't mean all contenders have abandoned showbiz pizzazz. NBC Universal Studio just shipped an attention-fetching round package that's also spare, efficient and eco-friendly. Inside, DVDs are featured in circular sleeves that fan out for easy access. When each disc is plucked out, there's a zippy quote from the show underneath. Example: Under the "30 Rock" DVD reads: "We'll trick those racecar-loving wide-loads into watching your lefty homoerotic propaganda hour yet." That's a line uttered by Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) in the season four premiere as he presses Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) to find viewers to watch her comedy series "TGS with Tracy Jordan."

They should have chosen different episodes for Parks and Recreation. I thought parks and Recreation would have received a nomination this year, but now that I know what episodes they chose I doubt it will be nominated.

As expected, NBC shunned the Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien, but it's still eligible for a nomination. If you think Conan deserves a nomination join the Facebook group: "Nominate the Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien for an Emmy"!

Sigh. They could have done better for "Community." Nice choices for "30 Rock", "Friday Night Lights", and "The Office" though.
