Tony Awards 2010: Chat with 'Red' stars Alfred Molina and Eddie Redmayne
After winning best play at the Outer Critics and Drama Desk Awards, "Red" is the front-runner to win top prize over "Next Fall," "Time Stands Still" and "In the Next Room or the Vibrator Play" at the Tony Awards on June 13. Alfred Molina's portrayal of cranky, pompous painter Mark Rothko could win best actor, but he's locked in a close contest with Denzel Washingon ("Fences"). Eddie Redmayne as Rothko's fawning protégé is probably a shoo-in to prevail as best featured actor.
"Red" might also pick up a few other, stray Tonys (it's nominated for a total of seven), but let's stay focused. Here's our chat with Molina and Redmayne.

I just saw this play yesterday. Both actors are giving phenomenal, Tony-worthy performances and the play itself is smartly written and wonderfully directed. Deserving of any accolades it receives.
