Did Rob Pattinson's hair rescue Tom Cruise's career at the MTV Movie Awards?

June 6, 2010 |  9:45 pm

Ah, not too long ago, Tom Cruise was a heartthrob coddled and cooed over at the MTV Movie Awards. Between 1993 and 2005, Cruise was nominated a dozen times and won twice: best male performance of 1997 ("Jerry Maguire") and 2001 ("Mission: Impossible II"). But now that his career looks like it's had all the blood sucked out of it, a vampire swooped down to Cruise's rescue at the awardscast tonight: stud du jour Robert Pattinson ("Twilight: New Moon"). Here's a replay of their memorable vignette.

What are you guys talking about? Tom has had better career than any of the people that won last night at the award show. He's always been a great actor, people have just judged him on his personal life which they shouldn't. Not sure how Robert saved his career? Robert didn't do anything, MTV planned that all out. His dancing was the biggest part not the part with Robert.

rescue his career from what? even at his lowest he is still better 90% of other so called stars

In my opinion Tom Cruise has been a great actor and the performances in the film are really great and entertaining.
