Emmy flies on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'

September 22, 2010 | 10:01 am

Our Gold Derby contributor Marcus Dixon sends us this alert:

On last night's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," Emmy  herself made an appearance along with the cast of "Modern Family." Eric Stonestreet, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Ty Burrell and Julie Bowen were all guests, and when they spoke about Stonestreet winning the Emmy, the award itself was lowered from the rafter, and Stonestreet took it arrogantly in his hands. Then he ordered Emmy to rise back up, and it disappeared -- but it hit the rafter and nearly broke away from its string, looking for a moment like it was going to fall on their heads. I was in the audience for this, and it was absolutely hilarious!
