Oscars' schedule of official member screenings

September 29, 2010 |  1:39 pm

Below is the September-October rundown of official screenings held for Oscar voters at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in the Beverly Hills headquarters of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Typically, they're held Saturdays and Sundays. Each academy member is permitted to bring one guest (except journalists — we're banned). Audience reaction is closely monitored by studio reps and award consultants, who count attendees and the number of walkouts, monitor applause (sudden loud clapping when the name of a director or costume designer appears on screen as the credits roll may mean a nomination is ahead), and eavesdrop on chatter in the lobby afterward.

Saw 100 Voices during it's qualifying run in Century City and thought it was just wonderful. There seems to be a buzz being generated by it. Can't wait to see academy reaction on the 10th.
