Your chance to thank the Webby Awards in five words or less

September 14, 2010 |  9:42 am

Entries are now being accepted for the next batch of Webby Awards, which are to be bestowed in June 2011. Last year, there were 10,000 submissions, so competition is fierce. There are so many categories that Webby chiefs ask winners to keep acceptance speeches to five words or less. Below is a video they prepared to contrast such refreshingly abbreviated thanks by Amy Poehler, Zach Galifianakis and Buzz Aldrin at the last awards show with the long-winded blah-blah-blah of "Spin City" star Barry Bostwick at the 1989 Golden Globes.
