New trailers: 'Blue Valentine,' '127 Hours,' 'The Way Back'

"Blue Valentine" just got slapped with an NC-17 rating, which may hurt it at the box office and therefore at the Oscars, but it's certainly in the derby thanks to realistic, deeply felt performances by past nominees Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling.

Here's the second trailer for "127 Hours," which is a shoo-in to be nominated for best picture, director (Danny Boyle) and lead actor (James Franco).

Pete Hammond recently reported that "The Way Back" just jumped into the derby thanks to Newmarket giving Peter Weir's drama about escapees from a Siberian prison camp a December qualifying run. Includes strong performances from Ed Harris, Colin Farrell, Jim Sturges and Saoirse Ronan. Weir has been nominated for best director four times ("Master and Commander," "The Truman Show," "Dead Poet's Society," "Witness").
