Beyonce rides the Soul Train
Beyonce may not have made the cut in the best song Oscar race for her work on "Listen," but she was top of the pops, so to speak, when nominations for the 21st annual Soul Train Awards were announced Tuesday. Up for three awards — female album, single, and video — this Dreamgirl proved herself to be "Irreplaceable." Other multiple nominees include Mary J. Blige, Chris Brown, Gnarls Barkley, and John Legend.
Awards are handed out in a March 10 ceremony at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium co-hosted by Omarion and LeToya that airs in syndication March 17-24. Winners are decided by a mix of performers, managers, and radio station staff.
